ResicareSA has three Specialist Disability Accommodation homes in Adelaide's west: a four-bedroom home in Ottoway that is also available as SIL, short-term and medium-term accommodation, a four-bedroom SDA home in Gillman, and a two-bedroom SDA home in Woodville West. The Port Adelaide and Woodville corridor is one of the few parts of Adelaide where newer SDA stock exists at all.
In-home and community supports run from Port Adelaide down to the Henley and Grange beaches and inland to Findon and Hindmarsh. Shift workers for the west are rostered as a group so that overnight and weekend cover does not depend on someone crossing the city.

Questions about the west
Are the western homes wheelchair accessible?
The Ottoway and Gillman homes are enrolled SDA dwellings. Each home page lists its SDA design category and access features, such as step-free entry, wide doorways and accessible bathrooms, so you can check before a visit.
Can the Ottoway home be used for respite?
Yes. It is listed for Short Term Accommodation and Medium Term Accommodation as well as SIL and SDA, which means a short stay can be funded as Short Term Accommodation when a room is free.
Do you cover the beachside suburbs for in-home support?
Semaphore, Largs Bay, Grange and Henley Beach are all within the western roster. Tell us the days and times you need and we will say honestly whether we can staff them.
