Assistance with social and community participation is one of the most used supports in the NDIS, and for good reason: being out, meeting people and doing things you enjoy is most of what a good week is made of. ResicareSA provides it across Adelaide and the regional towns we work in, one-to-one or in small groups, in the community or in a centre, at the standard or higher-intensity rates set by the NDIS pricing arrangements.
Our support workers are employed by us and rostered for continuity, so the person who takes you to the football this month is the person who took you last month. Each participant has a short profile covering communication, sensory needs and what makes a good day, and the activities are chosen with you, not for you.

Common questions
How is community participation funded?
From the Core budget under Assistance with Social and Community Participation, at the rate for the staffing ratio and time of day in the NDIS pricing arrangements. Activity costs and entry fees are usually paid by the participant; transport is agreed in advance.
Can I go out one-to-one rather than in a group?
Yes. Most of our community participation is one-to-one. Small groups are available for people who want the social side, and many participants do both.
Which areas do you cover?
Metropolitan Adelaide, the Copper Coast, Whyalla, Port Augusta and the Riverland, from our homes and our Nailsworth office.
Delivered under NDIS registration group Participate Community. The Trustee for Resicare SA Family Trust (ABN 97 806 653 206) is a registered NDIS provider, providing services since 2020.
