This is nursing delivered where you live, and it is worth being clear that ResicareSA is not a nursing home or an aged care provider — we are a registered NDIS provider delivering community nursing under the Community Nursing Care registration. Our Registered Nurses do two jobs: clinical care for participants, and training and competency assessment for the support workers on that participant's team.
Community nursing brings clinical care to where you live. Our nurses provide the care directly, and just as importantly they train and oversee the support workers who deliver clinical tasks between nursing visits.
That covers wound and pressure area care, continence assessment and management, medication review and management, diabetes and stoma care, enteral feeding set-up and review, and health monitoring for participants with complex or unstable conditions. Nurses also write and review the plans that support workers follow — mealtime management, epilepsy, bowel care — and sign off worker competency for high-intensity tasks.
We work with your GP, specialists and allied health team rather than around them, and we will tell you plainly when something needs a doctor rather than a nurse.
