Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, where it is kept, and how to see or correct what we hold about you.

Who this policy is about

ResicareSA is a registered NDIS provider delivering supports across Adelaide and regional South Australia. ResicareSA Pty Ltd (ABN 43 635 884 454) acts as trustee for The Trustee for Resicare SA Family Trust (ABN 97 806 653 206), and the NDIS registration is held under the second of those. Our office is at 171 Main North Road, Nailsworth SA 5083.

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Some small businesses are exempt from that Act on the basis of turnover; we are not, because we provide disability supports and hold health information, and organisations that do are covered regardless of size. We also have obligations under the NDIS Act and the NDIS Code of Conduct.

What we collect through this website

This website has five forms. None of them asks for more than the purpose needs, and only the fields marked required must be completed.

  • Housing and support enquiry — whether you are enquiring as a support coordinator; as a family member, guardian or carer; or as the participant; your name; organisation; email; phone; the level of support needed; funding status; a particular home; when support is needed; and anything else you tell us.
  • Referral form — who you are referring as, your name, organisation, email and phone, and details about the person being referred: their name, age, NDIS number, the supports they need, funding status, preferred location and start date.
  • Send us a message — your name, email, phone, who you are, what your message is about, and the message itself.
  • Feedback and complaints — what the feedback is about, who or what it concerns, what happened, what you would like to happen, and optionally your name, relationship to us, email, phone and how you would like to be contacted.
  • Job application — your name, email, phone, the role and locations you are applying for, your availability, what worker screening and other checks you hold, anything else you choose to tell us, and the resume you attach.

Our staff also collect information in person, by phone and by email in the ordinary course of providing supports. This policy covers that information too.

Sensitive information, and information about someone else

Details about a person’s disability, health, support needs and NDIS funding are sensitive information, and the law sets a higher bar for collecting it. We collect it only where it is reasonably necessary to work out whether we can provide a support and to deliver it safely, and only with consent.

The referral form is the case worth spelling out, because the person completing it is usually not the person it is about. If you are referring someone — as a support coordinator or LAC; as a family member, guardian or carer; from a hospital or health service; or as another provider — please make sure you have that person’s consent, or the consent of their decision-maker, before sending us their name, NDIS number and support needs. If you are not sure, call us on 08 7085 0633 and we will talk it through rather than have you send it.

If you apply for a job

Your application and the resume attached to it are stored separately from everything else on this site, in a private area that is not published and cannot be reached from the internet. Nobody can read it by guessing an address, and it does not appear in search results. Only the staff whose role includes handling enquiries and applications can open it, and only after signing in.

We use it to consider you for the role you applied for and for similar roles as they come up. We do not sell it, we do not share it with recruiters, and we do not use it for anything else. If you would like your application and resume deleted, email info@resicaresa.com.au or call 08 7085 0633 and we will remove them.

Making a complaint without telling us who you are

The feedback and complaints form has a box to submit anonymously, and it does what it says. When it is ticked, your name, email and phone are discarded before the complaint is saved — they are not stored and marked unusable, they are not kept for our records, and nobody at ResicareSA can retrieve them afterwards.

The trade-off is that we cannot come back to you. We will still act on what you tell us and record the outcome. You can also complain directly to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 or at ndiscommission.gov.au — you are not required to come to us first.

Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry, and to work out whether we have a home or a support that fits.
  • To assess a referral and contact the person who made it.
  • To provide supports, and to plan and coordinate them with your other providers.
  • To handle feedback and complaints, and to record what we did about them.
  • To meet our obligations as a registered NDIS provider, including reporting to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission where required.
  • To improve this website, using the analytics described below.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use what you send through these forms for marketing.

Who we share it with

Inside ResicareSA, access is limited to the staff who need it — enquiries and referrals go to the housing team, complaints to the people responsible for handling them.

Outside ResicareSA, we share personal information with:

  • Service providers who run parts of this site. Form submissions are stored in a Supabase database hosted in Sydney, Australia. Notification emails to our staff are sent through Resend. Our website is hosted on Vercel.
  • Other people involved in your support — support coordinators, allied health professionals, medical practitioners and family members — where you have agreed to that, or where it is necessary to provide safe support.
  • Regulators and government bodies — the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the NDIA — where we are required or authorised by law to do so, including reportable incidents.
  • Anyone else you ask us to, or where the law requires it.

Information sent overseas

Form submissions are stored in Australia. Some of the services around them are not: Resend, which delivers our notification emails, and Google and Mapbox, described below, process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient we take reasonable steps to see that it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but you should know that it happens.

Cookies, analytics and maps

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through this site — which pages are read, roughly where visitors are, and what they came from. It sets cookies and collects your IP address. It tells us nothing about who you are, and we do not combine it with anything you send through a form. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

The maps on our home pages come in two kinds, and they behave differently. The suburb maps are images we fetch from Google on our own server and pass on to you, so Google does not see your visit. The interactive maps you can drag and zoom are served by Mapbox directly to your browser, which means Mapbox receives your IP address in order to send you the map.

If you sign in to the staff portal we use cookies to keep you signed in. Those are necessary for it to work and are not used for analytics.

How we keep it safe, and how long we keep it

Form submissions are held in an access-controlled database, and the staff portal that reads them requires a login. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, though no website can promise perfect security.

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as the law requires — which for records about NDIS participants and supports is generally at least seven years. When we no longer need it and are no longer required to keep it, we destroy it or de-identify it.

Seeing what we hold, and correcting it

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Email info@resicaresa.com.au or call 08 7085 0633.

We will ask you to verify who you are, and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge for asking. If we cannot give you access — which is rare, and usually means giving it would affect someone else’s privacy — we will tell you why in writing.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information

Tell us first, if you are willing to. Use the feedback and complaints form, email info@resicaresa.com.au, or call 08 7085 0633. We will acknowledge a complaint and tell you what we are doing about it.

You do not have to come to us first, and you can go elsewhere at any point. Privacy complaints can be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992 or at oaic.gov.au. Complaints about our supports can be made to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top will tell you when it last happened. This version is dated 1 September 2026.

Any question about your information — just ask.
