On-call support

ResicareSA is one of very few registered providers with its own homes on the Copper Coast. There is a five-bedroom SIL home in Kadina and three two-bedroom SDA units in Wallaroo on East Terrace, each with a staff room, that are also available for short-term and medium-term stays.

Staff are recruited locally and live locally. That matters more in the country than anywhere else: a roster that depends on workers driving from Adelaide falls over the first time the weather turns or someone is sick. Port Pirie and the Mid North are covered for plan management, support coordination and, where we can staff it, in-home support.

Questions about the Copper Coast

Are the Wallaroo units suitable for someone with high physical support needs?

The three units on East Terrace are enrolled SDA dwellings. Each unit's page lists its design category and access features. They are single-level with a staff room, and have been used for both long-term SDA tenancy and medium-term stays.

Who staffs the Copper Coast homes?

Support workers employed by ResicareSA who live in Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta. On-call management backs them up around the clock.

Do you cover Port Pirie?

Plan management and support coordination, yes. In-home support in Port Pirie depends on local staffing at the time; ask and we will tell you straight.
